I take aspects of different methods and combine them with my own to create a opportunity for the student to explore and experiment with their music, with out developing bad habits. I like to use the Suzuki books as a basis solely for musical progression, but technical set up is catered to differently for each student. I am a passionate and hard working instructor who loves to share my love of music with others. In 2016, I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance. I then went on to pursue my Master's at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music and graduated in 2018. I have been teaching since 2006 and have had students become music educators and amateur musicians. I have students performing in PMEA district band, honors bands, HS marching bands and community bands. I work with clarinet and saxophone students of all levels, and beginner piano students. Arias maintains a roster of trumpet and piano students through both her personal studio and the Monroeville Music Lesson Center. She serves as the trumpet coach for the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, and is the trumpet instructor for the Norwin High School Marching Band. During her graduate studies, she served as the Graduate Teaching Assistant to Dr. James Stokes at the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University and was previously the trumpet teacher for George Rogers Clarke High School in Winchester, KY; a counselor for the Morehead State University Summer Arts Academy; and an instructor for the West Union Performing Arts Camp. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the Universidad de Chile, an Artist Diploma Program, and a Master's degree in Music Performance, both from Duquesne University. I started my career in music when I was 13, and I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to playing and teaching music.
