I believe that teaching voice does not involve a one-size-fits-all method. Every one is different, and therefore every voice is unique. It's important to treat each voice individually. A positive teaching environment is vital to encourage a student's progress. Lessons should also be fun. If the student is not having fun then something is not right. This allows me to demonstrate styles while watching the student's enbouchure, posture, angles, and instrument position from every angle. For beginners or people that are brand new to the guitar we typically break the lesson into halves. The first half is typically practicing pentatonic scales and basic finger exercises and maybe some rhythm drills before moving onto simplified versions of famous classic songs.
