I have been teaching for the past 10 years in Singapore and the US. In Charleston, SC, I was faculty at the Charleston Academy of Music for almost 6 years.My students range from age 3 to adults, and have won local and state competitions. In 2010 I formed a piano duo, and have since been invited as guest faculty in the Chicago Duo Piano Festival and Charleston Music Teachers' Association. I have performed in Asia, Europe and in the United States and have met many internationally acclaimed pianists and pedagogues, and I bring with me the experiences I have amassed over the years. And once they have improved to the point where have the ability to learn songs they will be taught the songs they will love to play. My teaching style can best be described as adaptable. Every student can learn and every student is different. Some students need structure, some need to be encouraged and some just need someone to help them polish their skills. Whatever the case may be, it is my job to meet the student where they are and provide support that balances what they need and their personal goals.
