I also have a varied collection of etude books that I like to select from, as a good source of technical and expressive exercises. For adults who are beginners, I might refer to the Accent on Achievement books, but only as much as we need. I believe the traditional and classical pieces are very practical for learning flute technique, for students of all ages. Read More

A way a student learns is important because everyone learns at a different pace. Also, each student has different interests. Patience and being positive are the key characteristics to progress.  Learning can be a frustrating journey if the teacher and student don't meet eye to eye.
