I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting Guitar Performance. I have gigged extensively in the Boston area and Midwest as a singer/songwriter, performed on various studio sessions, co-written songs in several genres, and played guitar for other musicians. My teaching style is very specialized. As a guitar teacher, I started teaching group classes as a volunteer when I was a teenager. Eventually I started teaching guitar to fellow classmates. A native of Seattle, Christine began her musical studies as a classically-trained trumpet player. Moving to Chicago and collaborating with jazz colleagues led her to pursuing a master’s degree in vocal jazz. She was accepted into one of the nation’s leading jazz institutions, the University of North Texas. There she focused on her new passion for singing, honing her skills in piano, songwriting, arranging, and improvisation. I love working with students on improving their sound, their range, and their fluidity on the saxophone.
