My metropolitan way of studying starting in Europe, performing abroad, and coming to U.S. made my music views wider open for other styles of music. Starting from Folk music, Gypsy, Classic, Jazz, Latin; all these styles helped me to perceive new horizons in music. However, the main goal for an educator, in my opinion, is to help student to find his own way of expressing the music. To explain to students the main rules so later he/her can break them by reaching a higher level in music sense. Read More

I want my students to find enjoyment and purpose from making music first and foremost. Every student has a unique set of skills, and not every student learns the same way. I believe that something valuable can be learned from any single piece of music. Etude books, like Voxman's Selected Studies, and Rochut's Melodious Etudes are my go to for daily practice, but are not the only option available. I like to take a pragmatic approach to teaching, and will modify any exercises and routines as needed to get the best result from each student. Read More

I was approached my several parents and music directors to give lessons. As a teacher, I try to remove any road blocks a student is having by developing well rounded musician. As a performer, my career has taken me across the Mid-West and abroad on tours as far as Russia and Poland. Read More

I love teaching music, and started when I was twenty years old. In 2009, I graduated from Prairie State College with a Liberal Arts Degree. I took music theory classes and 1 year of jazz band at Prairie State. I graduated from Columbia College in 2015. I achieved a Bachelor of Music degree, with a focus in classical guitar performance. Read More

Every person is different and I take that to heart constructing a lesson plan for each student that is suited for their personal tastes and speed. I have taught people of various ages starting at 5 years old all the way up to 60. It just goes to show you are never really done learning, especially when it comes to music. I have developed my ear to a point in which most any music you play me, especially if it's guitar based, I can learn to play in a matter of seconds or a few short minutes if it's something really tricky. I always try to encourage students to see the small victories in playing music; regardless of how significant or noticeable an achievement is. Many students get down on themselves because they can't play something or they make a mistake. This is a deficit mindset that stunts growth long term. When I first teach a student I want them to set a short term goal between each lesson and one long term goal that spans from a month to a year. Read More
