Children are eager to play because it is easy and interesting for them. With older children who are already playing, there are other tasks. In lessons I have taught, I find that letting a student feel free to explore every facet of their voice is key, as exploration leads to breakthroughs! I have accompanied for the past six summers, and I eventually held the title of Lead Music Teacher. At school in Chicago, I did some vocal coaching of my peers.
