I began my teaching career at the Castellani-Andriaccio Guitar Studios in Buffalo in 2017. I also teach at Music & Arts in Orchard Park, and serve as the primary instructor for the Hispanic Heritage Council Guitar Initiative. The Guitar Initiative is a non-profit afterschool program that provides free guitar and music theory lessons to children who otherwise would not have access. I will work with each student to help them understand the fundamentals of jazz, for example, knowing major scales, minor scales, and all of the modes that we typically see in most jazz repertoire. For students that are more advanced we will work on learning how to play over common chord progressions and learn how to play songs found in the Great American Songbook. Prior to my undergraduate studies I attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where I majored in trombone performance and studied both piano and composition privately.
