I started off as a teaching assistant for a VBS at my local church, I helped to design the lessons and taught parts of the lesson and I continued to do that for 5 years, each year doing more. For beginning students, I usually prefer to use the Suzuki method, as this is the method I grew up on, and I prefer to teach the knowledge that I find useful in the method. However, my lessons are not solely based on my preference, as I identify individual strengths and weaknesses and target those in the sessions. Ability level also has a big role in planning the direction of the lesson, as I do not use Suzuki for advanced students. Read More

I am a dedicated and passionate instructor who loves watching students improve and succeed. In 2015, I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance. I attended Wright State University to earn my Master of Music degree in Flute Performance and worked as a graduate teaching assistant during my time there. I graduated from Wright State in 2017.
