Depending on experience level I like to get people making music as soon as possible. I know that trudging through the basics can be tiring. Of course some basics are neccesary but I like to make the basics sound as musical as possible. We will cover the fundamentals but we'll do so in such a way that it won't feel like so much work. My belief is that anyone can play the piano, as long as they have the right motivation and are willing to devote time to daily practice sessions. Young students (ages 4-6) are highly encouraged because I believe this is the best time to start and I have extensive experience with this age group because of my weekly interaction with preschoolers through my classes.
