I am a singer-songwriter, engineer, and producer from Youngstown, OH who has been playing music for over 15 years. I attended Youngstown State University and Anderson University studying music education and business. I teach with an emphasis on tone and sound production. I believe that once we know what sound we want to create we are better able to physically make it happen. Through this ideology I use the Suzuki method and like to prioritize listening and playing by ear before note reading when the students are young beginners. Even if the student is older, I like to incorporate ear training with a mixture of all the skills we must master as musicians--note reading, sight reading, improvising, etc. Read More

I teach a combination of Rote and verbal, conveying my ideas while playing as an example. I realized my passion for music when I was teaching forty clarinetists during a band camp. They caught on to my personality and knew I wanted the best for them. This ultimately drove them to be better musicians.
