I first got into music when I was in elementary school. My first instrument was the upright bass fiddler. This help me learn the notes on the bass clef. I later learned to play trumpet which was the instrument that used to audition to get into the Navy Band. I had a close relationship with my music teachers growing up and I hope to establish the same type of relationship with my own students as I have with previous ones.
