Instruments: Guitar
My teaching style is based primarily on theory and practice. While every student can and will progress according to their needs, I think its important to start with basics, like how to properly hold and play the instrument. Once the basics are down, well usually transition towards learning more music theory, like scales and chord structures, and how to build a song from the ground up. Once someone is passed the beginning stages, lessons will generally transform into a much more personalized experience. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Synthesizer Keyboard
For beginners, I typically start with Mayon Cole's EZ Keys for younger children (age 4.5 to 5), and I use manehune (age 6) or level one (age 7-10) or above for elementary school age children. Once the student has progressed and gain confidence in sight reading and rhythm/counting, I will then supplement the curriculum with solo repertoires from other piano curriculum such as Fabor/Fabor or Alfred series (Little Mozart). I also introduce chords playing for contemporary/praise music when the student is ready. Read More
Instruments: Piano
In my piano lesson, I teach my student theory, sight-reading, aural skill, playing scales, and playing pieces from different time periods. Student will excel in piano study provided they practice consistently with the right attitude and mindset. I usually spene 2/3 time to use playing the piano and 1/3 for music theory.Music education helps develop lifetime skills such as self-discipline that helps with goal setting and task completion skills, improved concentration levels, self-esteem, patience, and joy!
