I have recently started teaching in the last year on zoom and in person. A lot of my gigging and recording experience I have been able to incorporate in to my students lessons. I think one of the most important aspects of teaching music is how to learn. Every student learns differently. Knowing if they learn well by sheet music, by ear, or just working on technique. I am a strong believer in listening before you play. When it comes to younger students this can be challenging, yet also rewarding. For more advanced students I would get into music theory, improvising/experimentation, ear training, and composition. Read More

First, we'll talk about your goals - do you want to play at open mics? Do you want to learn jazz? Do you want to play something nice for your spouse? Next, I'll want to determine your experience level on the instrument and get a feel for your style to better tailor our lessons to you. This will likely be me asking you a few music questions and requesting that you play something for me. Read More
