After years of studying piano, I expanded my musical journey by picking up the trombone, bass, guitar, and drums by the age of 12. Generally speaking, I use a learner-centered approach, encourage astute questioning, a cooperative stimulation of critical thinking, and I prefer an active versus passive teaching style. Regardless of the student's age, I want him/her to have fun as much as possible, so I strive to make the unavoidable repetitive exercises more enjoyable by facilitating the student's creative input. I am a fun and easy going instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I graduated from London College of Creative Media in 2018 with a degree in performance and production. I also have a certificate in guitar. Performing in Europe was one of my greatest experiences while living overseas.  I implement materials of my own design mixed with songs of the students choosong and tastes, and typically have them up and playing a song or two that they like in a couple of lessons.  All ages, styles, and expereince levels are welcome. For reading,  I like to use a combination of notation, tabs and chord diagrams.  And while I dont absolutely insist that the student learn to read notation, I do strongly encourage it. Read More
