After receiving my Associate degree, I began studying Music Education at Florida Atlantic University. I typically start by first assessing whether or not the student has any prior experience in musical training, whether that be in a private instrument, music theory, or just some experience gained from taking music classes at school. From there I develop a curriculum tailored to both the student's current level of musical knowledge as well as what interests them. When teaching and assigning homework and repertoire, I like to offer a balance between what the student wants to learn and the essential exercises that will expand the student's musical knowledge, abilities and muscle memory.
