I settled in Atlanta in 1973, and started school in 1975. I went as far with school as my VA benefits would get me and then I left school, and got a job teaching in a local Atlanta store. So I break down songs and theory in to increments so that they can be more easily digested over time. I find that this method of learning is extremely helpful in the retention of the knowledge the student learns. By the time I was 18, I was teaching over 15 lessons a week to students ranging from 4 to 45 years old.
