I taught and maintained a small voice studio of my own in New York City for four years before the pandemic forced me back to the west coast to care for my family. I have also taught in 2 musical schools (MUSA School of Music) and Los Olivos. Most of my students were mostly interested in Guitar Techniques and learning songs. In addition to that, I also teach Music Theory, Harmony, Arranging and Orchestration. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonards Essential Elements book, as well a basic understanding of music. Once the student has progressed to have a nice grasp of the fundamentals of music, I usually begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I use Alfreds guitar method books for guitar and bass.  Piano I use the Bastian and others.  I teach from both my song books, and by thier cd or audio tracks.  I teach each student individually and move them forward to performance level. I teach how to read music and music ear training.  Theory training is also available at lessons as needed. Once I get the student past the basics on to intermediate level, I can listen to cd or audio recordings and reproduce the instrumental part on the spot. Read More

She also is a Teaching Artist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Whittier Youth Orchestra, and Santa Monica Conservatory of Music, and is the conductor of the Watts-Willowbrook Conservatory Youth Orchestra and Harmony Project at Longfellow Elementary School.
