For beginner students, I start with some fundamental basics but I always try to keep the information relatable to each individual student no matter what their skill level. I take a very individualized approach for each student and tailor the lessons just for them depending on what the student is interested in and their skill level. Instrumental lessons usually follow the method book that is selected by their school band director. My teaching experience began during my undergraduate studies. Instructing privately, I developed exposure teaching classical, electric, and acoustic musical styles. During my assistantship at the Lamont School of music, my teaching resided primarily toward college students. However, I am truly passionate towards working with students of all ages. I have always enjoyed teaching others. Even in high school, I consistently helped my peers with their learning and enjoyed helping them learn how to play percussion instruments. After starting college in 2009, I began formally teaching percussion privately and in groups at high schools in my area. I have since expanded to teaching guitar, bass guitar, and composition, incorporating compositional elements into all of my lessons.
