My teaching experience began in 1980 at Russo Music in Trenton NJ. I have taught a range of students from beginners to professionals. Many of my former students have gone on to become professional musicians in their own right. Continuously intrigued by the music world I decided to start studying music more formally at The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, PA. My passion for music and art only grew as I was surrounded by other artists who were so engaged in the artforms they produced. I am an international performing artist, having toured throughout Europe and North America as an orchestral and solo musician at venues including the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, National Concert Hall of Ireland, and Palais Corbelli in Vienna, Austria. I first began teaching upon the completion of my undergraduate studies in 2004. At that time the majority of my students were beginners in their first or second year of playing. By 2008 I had completed the first of my two graduate degrees in music. With this accomplishment the students seeking lessons with me generally became older, typically in the junior high and high school ages. I perform approximately 50 gigs per month on piano and flute as a soloist or duo with my husband (who is a teacher and performer on classical guitar, also in the Musika family).
