Teaching piano is my passion and I always strive to give personal attention to each and every student. I especially enjoy helping students develop their love of piano playing and their piano skills and watching them reap the benefits of their hard work and dedication I am active in participating and attending convention as hosted by the Music Teachers Association of California and other teacher's workshop in town and other workshops hosted by the Music publishers and well known composers. I am an Iranian-born musician that pursued a life dedicated to the midwifery of artist-led philanthropic initiatives. Later I narrowed my dedication to the community around me after the pandemic and national police brutality rise in the nation; however, I learned that my true calling is with the organizations behind the scenes striving to provide the youth with access to world-class music education. I strongly believe in quality music education for the youth because my lifelong theory is that bridging networks and social cohesion are increased by bringing children from all walks of life together through music. Learning about music involves so much more than technique or scales, but also relies so much on their emotions and mindset. I want to prioritize their own independence within these lessons in regards to choosing their own repertoire or experimenting with their own compositional style so that they can embrace how liberating and fun learning about music and being creative can be, rather than seeing it as a chore! I also want to make sure that their musical journey is built with the right mindset - a lot of the time there is unnecessary toxic, competitive energy within other musicians which defeats the whole purpose of inspirational collaboration that can come from playing music with others. Making sure that the student is having fun, learning and achieving their musical goals is most important. I understand that each student progresses at their own pace and has diffrent goals and desires. While there are certian excersises that everyone needs to work on, solos and concert pieces are what students are drawn to. Therefore, I make sure that students are working on fun and challenging pieces that will keep them engaged in music. Read More

For beginners children, I like to start with a primer book. Either through the suzuki method or piano adventures. Also, there are instances where I find simple pieces from different composers, put them together into a booklet and start teaching through those while having the student write music theory in a music notebook. For beginner adults, I think its best to start with things they're interested in playing. I know that adults gravitate towards music because they would like to play some of their favorite songs and through that I teach them music, both theory and practice. Read More

My experience performing music started at a very young age (6 or 7). Growing up with three older brothers who all played instruments, I was quickly introduced to playing gigs for family functions and other events. In addition to school bands, honor bands, and orchestras, I was also able to play with my local University concert band while still in high school. I was also playing and performing in other small jazz groups as well as a local jazz big band. Read More
