In 2004, I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education. These goals could be things like getting a superior rating at solo and ensemble, auditioning into an honor band, learning more about a genre of music, or just to have fun! I ask them to bring any materials they have and will often recommend books and supplemental material I have had success with. I began teaching music at the age of 15, primarily guitar and piano lessons for beginners ages 7-14 in my hometown of Parker, CO. At 16 I began teaching my students basic music theory and intermediate instrumental instruction. I moved to Boston in 2012 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music in Boston, still actively teaching throughout my curriculum.
