In my students journey of self-expression, I will help them to learn music history, music theory, and different musical cultures which can influence their perspective on the world around them, as well as how they see themselves. I began teaching as a young kid in middle and high school. I would give informal lessons to my peers, and this is what started my interest in teaching. I continued this path teaching classical flute and jazz improvisation to anyone who would listen to me!
