For absolute beginner's I will spend the first few lessons just working on getting a sound out of the instrument and when ready, playing some easily recognized songs (like nursery rhymes), by ear to develop aural skills from the very start. I work with the needs and goals of the individual student, and incorporates a wide variety of teaching styles into my lessons. While at UC, I rediscovered my passion for music and felt a calling to share that passion with others in the best way I knew how: teaching.
