For beginning students in flute and piano, I use Trevor Wye flute books and Alfred piano books, respectively. These books cover fundamentals and hand technique and once that is learned and internalized, then I will introduce more solo or accompanied repertoire that they would eventually perform in a recital. For beginning composition students (which are taught remotely on Zoom), I will go over different "lectures" about fundamental music theory and integrate short composition assignments that go according to what was learned in the lesson. I am also an active freelancer in the area with groups such as the Philadelphia Pops, Opera Philadelphia, Opera Delaware, Harrisburg Symphony, and more. I hold three degrees in classical flute performance from accredited institutions where I have studied with flute greats such as Jim Walker, Marianne Gedigian, and Timothy Day, and have performed all over the country in various professional orchestras and in chamber and solo events. In 2013 I started performing through international competitions, and received my diploma in musical performance through ABRSM in 2016, certifying me to teach. I recently graduated from Princeton University and performed while there in orchestra and pit orchestra groups.
