In high school I had the great privilege of being selected as the Principal clarinetist in the Minnesota All-State Band. We performed at the summer camp designed for these groups and recreated our performance at Orchestra Hall, home of the Minnesota Orchestra, the following spring. Clarinet is my primary instrument and first love. I also teach saxophone and beginning flute and hope to add other woodwinds in the future. After receiving my jazz performance degree from Rutgers University in 2010, I put together a studio of several dedicated students in New Jersey while performing in the New York Metro area with ensembles ranging from big bands to funk and soul groups. During that time, I also helped create several music education programs and camps in Red Bank and Asbury Park, and was instructed players of all skill levels, helping them improve their skills.
