With a background in music therapy, I have a complex understanding of how music and music learning interact with a person's body, mind, and spirit, and I believe that becoming better musicians can make us better human beings, if we let it. I am a New York City-based flutist, passionate teacher and trail-blazing entrepreneur. In 2014, I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance and a minor in Entrepreneurship. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in Classical Flute Performance at the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Linda Chesis. I want students to learn what they're most interested in, with the caveat that I can teacg them a "song" or I can teach them the instrument and they can play any song. Whenever I can I play duets with the students. It makes what they're doing sound more like music. And I make mistakes. That shows that mistakes are no big deal (1 wrong note is a mistake.
