I have been teaching since age 15 (1999). In addition to extensive performing experience on clarinet, I have functioned as a piano accompanist, choir member, and praise band member through the years. For beginners, I like to start with the Rubank method books, which progress pretty rapidly. I also focus on tone production and scales as we move along at the level of the individual student. I gauge the speed at which we move based on the student in question, and prepare a practice routine for each student based on how much time they have to practice each day. For an intermediate to advanced student, I work with more the more advanced Rubank method books, and suggest solo literature appropriate for them to prepare. Read More

Allison is a flutist from Miami, FL, who has been playing since she was 9 years old. A graduate from University Miami with several scholarships, as well as finishing up her Master's under scholarship from University of North Texas, she has studied with some of the top instructors in the country. Her primary teachers are Trudy Kane, Mary Karen Clardy. She just recently finished a Teaching Fellowship at UNT, where she was responsible for teaching undergraduate non-performance majors (music ed and pre-music) and jazz saxophonists how to double on the flute. Im Bailee! Im a dedicated and passionate flute player. I am currently a junior at the University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Flute Performance! I was in marching band from 2015-2022 at both my high school and my university. Throughout high school, I regularly did All-Region auditions, State Solo and Ensemble, joined flute choirs, and attended summer camps for my instrument. As for university, I have won scholarships for the Texas Flute Society, have participated and performed at the Texas Flute Society festival, and I am currently playing in the UTA Symphony Orchestra.
