It is my goal to customize the lesson experience for every student that I teach. Most beginners benefit from a method book, such as Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, which is a good starting place for most students. As students progress on their instrument, I choose the method books and solos that will best help them develop their talents as well as keep them engaged in the material. My teaching experience dates back to my high school days when I began teaching private lessons part time, and started a program for underprivileged students to have group lessons and perform throughout the community. I also have five years of experience teaching middle school and high school music in public schools. I love to see my students enter various competitions and perform in recitals.
