I began my teaching days informally when I was still a student at Fairport High School. Some family friends wanted to learn how to play saxophone, so I began teaching them. Next thing I knew, I had a small-time music studio in my parents' basement! I was teaching saxophone as well as jazz improvisation at that time. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas for TMEA full orchestra in 2011, Hartford Convention Center for 2015 Connecticut All-State Festival, and at the IES Music Center in Vienna, Austria where I studied flute performance with Forough Djafar-Zadeh-Karimi and Ulrike Anton in the spring of 2018. I have over 25 years experience teaching Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, and beginner-intermediate Piano to children and adults of all ages. I am active in the NYC jazz and improvised music scenes, and have toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe including concerts in Sweden, Germany, Austria, France, Hungary, and Portugal.
