I have been teaching since I was in high school, maintaining a private studio and teaching lessons and sectionals in Cleveland schools. Having grown up in a large family, I love working with children and relate well to all ages. I find when students have some input into the songs they want to learn they have more fun and more successful, which leads them to sticking with their instrument and loving music as much as I do. Because of this it has lead me to arrange popular songs you hear in video games, movies, and on the radio into more basic and playable versions for beginner players. Regardless of which direction the student wishes to take their musical development, a foundation of classical training is mandatory. That's why I work with students' individual needs to set realistic goals for each lesson while keeping an eye on long-term goals. I create a warm environment for students to experiment and ask questions so they can better understand their instrument, musical ideas, and their own thought processes.
