I've been teaching clarinet since high school when I first started out as a Tri-M music honor society mentor. I taught privately in college and I teach privately on the side. With my students I record what we've worked on each lesson and always send out a lesson plan and agenda out for the next week after each lesson. Read More

I've been teaching private music lessons for more than 15 years and have taught students from age 4 to 50. I've worked in my home studio, in students' homes, in a traditional classroom setting, in small classes, in large college lecture halls, and in online classrooms. I also have experience working with neurodiverse students. In short, I've done it all! I find pride and enjoyment out of watching students marvel at their own progress. Read More

But I also push for technical mastery of the instrument so I push for knowledge of scales and then keep pushing with more challenging/fun pieces. Read More

Skill level does not matter. We all have to start somewhere! I like to encourage my students to enter competitions and perform in recitals and masterclasses. Whatever your goals are I am sure that I can help you achieve them. Read More
