No matter if it's music theory, composition, or performance, my main idea is to intricately learn the about the music that interests you, learn how to apply it on your instrument, and then use your creativity to create something new. For all of my students, I stress the importance of fundamentals, and I use various etude studies and the works of Marcel Moyse to develop this.  To further complement the development of fundamentals and to encourage stylistic choices in musical expression and phrasing, music theory, music history, and ear training skills will be incorporated into lessons.  In addition, a portion of each lesson will be spent sight reading duets, which encourages sight reading skills and allows students to become accustomed to a more advanced level of playing. I really began teaching when I was in high school and then going into college. During high school I was discovered by different middle school and elementary school music teachers and asked to come teach their students. As I began working at different schools, I was asked to give private lessons. I taught beginner masterclasses, private lessons, and traveled to different schools for about two years.
