I am a passionate and experienced instructor who loves working with students of all ages and skill levels. I live in Nashville, TN and am available to teach flute and beginner piano lessons. I received my Masters in Music Performance from Northwestern University in 2021 studying flute under Professors John Thorne, Jennifer Gunn, and Alyce Johnson. I was a member of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra during my time there, and I also participated in many chamber groups and worked as a Graduate Assistant to the Contemporary Music Ensemble. For my beginning students who are children on piano, I typically start with Alfred's Basic piano books. There are so many levels and it helps them understand the basics. With the piano books there are also theory workbooks that give them a chance to think about what they are actually doing when it comes to making music. In 2012 I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Studies. Since then, I have moved to Nashville, earned my Master's Degree from Belmont University in 2014, and have began my professional career as a freelance saxophonist. I have had the chance to perform and record in some of Nashville's most historic venues and recording studios.
