For beginners, often the struggle is getting a good sound out of the flute and learning fingering and how to read music all at the same time. I like to take it step-by-step with reasonable goals. As students progress, we start to incorporate more and more into the repertoire while focusing on fundamentals and sound. My methods are unique to each student and allow for every student to develop as a complete musician and begin making music as soon as possible. I am committed to helping develop all around musicians who are both proficient in the technical aspects of their individual instruments as well as knowledgeable about the theoretical aspects of creating music. I am passionate about the flute and love sharing that with students. I graduated from James Madison University where I studied with Carol Kniebusch Noe, played four years in the JMU Flute Choir and in the JMU Wind Symphony. Later I went on to get a master's degree in Arts Management at City University in London. I continue to play locally with the Vale Flute Choir as well as the local band Rok. Read More

I am a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and helping plant and grow a love for music. I got a degree in music from NOVA Community College in 2012 and am working on my BM from George Mason in Music Education.
