For all of my students I start by allowing them to sit and feel the kit. Building a strong trusting relationship is important. I then proceed to dive into teaching simple 4/4 grooves to loosen the student up which processes into teaching basic rhythm studies and eventually the concepts of feel, groove, dynamics and of course timing. I've had the opportunity to teach Ensemble music in a High school for students between 12-16 years old. Also did master classes for adults looking into genres like Boleros, Vals and Classical Music (Nylon Guitar). I've had 50= students doing private lessons with me and couldn't be happier of the results that they made with me.
