For young and beginning students, I focus intently on proper technique (holding of sticks, timing, 4-way coordination, etc.) to ensure a proper foundation for success. For older and experienced students, I look to work on a wide range of styles to help the student understand the nuances of performance techniques and promote an understanding of how interconnected various performance styles are. I began teaching privately during the spring of 2018. I taught private orchestral percussion and drum set lessons at my home studio as well as high schools in the area. Since then, I accepted a position as a summer music instructor at Lakes Community High School in Lake Villa, IL. In addition I developed and implemented elementary music programs for K-5 thru 4th grade for schools in the NY vicinity.
