My music is an explorative collage of rhythm and harmony that incites emotion, creating a wild and memorable experience for listeners. I source inspiration from an array of influences, ranging from Miles Davis, to The Beatles. My musical pieces are born during a 3–4 hour session at the piano, and refined through excessive scribbling, and endless rehearsing. In the past year, I have expanded my professional development to work as an educator, and a scholar of music. Read More

I started drum lessons when I was 12. I started playing in hotels at 15 years of age with show bands and rock bands. I have played with high school bands at Carnegie Hall in New York and traveled to many places because of music. When I went off to graduate school my long time band mate went on the road as a professional musician. But I never stopped playing. I have played in Concert Band, Rock bands, Jazz Bands and more.I was always to go to drummer when someone needed a great drummer. Read More

To support myself while in school I taught upwards of 40 students a week working for a local drum shop called The Drum Circuit. Four years later, I received a BA from Cal Poly. Read More

Depending on where the student is on their development, and which instrument: Guitar - I typically try and start with fundamentals such as how to hold your instrument.. where in the fret to press and make it sing and sound correct. I usually give them a couple simple, one or two string ditties to practice. Then I usually go over some of the basic, commonly used chords and have the student practice on making sure that they can hear all the correct strings ring when they strike the chord. Read More
