My approach is focused very much on performance, technicalities, and theory. I believe it is very important for the student to understand how these aspects of playing coincide with each other, and how they are equally essential to music playing. Before giving a student a piece of music to play, I will always play it befoehand and dissect the song into portions that I feel need special attention.
