Drum Lessons in La Verne, CA

Instruments: Drums

As an instructor I focus on my students weaknesses in order to produce as much progress as possible. I strive to find out what my students are really trying to get out of drums whether it’s just for fun, to be famous, or in order to start a band. I love to cater my curriculum to students favorite genres in order to keep them interested. As a drummer myself I understand that some stuff can get boring so I try to add in different aspects to make my lessons more entertaining. Read More

I have been teaching lessons in my private studio and at studios in the LA area for the last 7 years.  Through my experience I have learned how to make lessons fun and engaging for my students.  I also have experience preparing students for recitals and coaching them on various aspects of live performance such as stage presence and stage fright. From a four year old that can't speak english to students much older than myself, I have seen it all! Read More

With any student who is in a beginning sort of stage with their musicality, I will start off by teaching them basic techniques, simple notes or chords(dependent on the type of instrument), and rudimentary knowledge of the notational system. Once they have started to make some progress, I take a unique approach by asking them of their own opinion for where they would want to see themselves go. I do this to not only make it as exciting as possible for the student, but to help them achieve a vision they already have for themselves. Read More

I'm a teacher and student at heart. I believe that at any level of learning support and encouragement are always better than just do it because I say so. This is the reason I left a scholarship from Berklee in the 90's to pursue my true passion; touring the world as a professional musician. I have seen a slice of life in my musical travels with the hundreds of artists I have worked with and I bring over 2 decades of experiences to every lesson, with every student, every time and I look forward to meeting new students who want to take the journey with me.. I don't have much paid experience in teaching, however I've been helping my peers and family learn guitar since I was only 2 years into playing. Once I picked up guitar at 11 I rarely put it down, and there wasn't a longer window of a couple weeks where I wouldn't pick it up. (Even to this day). In middle school I took beginning guitar as an elective, thinking it'd be a fun easy A. Read More

I've been playing music for over 10 years now and have had the opportunity to share my talent around the world. I have had the chance to study with some of the greatest drummers of our time and pass their teachings, as well as my own on to eager new students. I'm very passionate about getting across the language of drumming and music in a clear and open minded approach because I realize how important it is to keep new students interested and engaged.
