I will begin with what the student is interested in, work with songs or genres that they like and go from there. I will always make it fun and engaging no matter their ability level. I will teach with some of the Agostini's books for every level, and some books that I used in school. We will learn, develop rudiments, grooves, concepts ideas, independance together and make it fun. It will be an exchange between me and the student about music, the instrument, his/her experience and mine, everything that I can help with and make it enjoyable. Read More

My first emphasis is that you have to like what you're playing. I really try to focus on what music gets the student excited. For some of them, it comes quickly. Others it might take a while, and that is okay. Once I find the switch that engages the student's interest, that is my focus. I really emphasize getting students to read music and also understand the key components of music theory, so that they understand what it is they are playing. Read More

My music is an explorative collage of rhythm and harmony that incites emotion, creating a wild and memorable experience for listeners. I source inspiration from an array of influences, ranging from Miles Davis, to The Beatles. My musical pieces are born during a 3–4 hour session at the piano, and refined through excessive scribbling, and endless rehearsing.   In the past year, I have expanded my professional development to work as an educator, and a scholar of music.
