I've been a private lesson teacher since 1997 and have taught in 7 school districts across the Southeastern PA/Southern NJ area since 1999. My ensembles have consistently won State, Regional and National Championships over this time and my students have become members of elite performing ensembles like the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps (Fort Mill, South Carolina) and Miami, Florida's New World Symphony. I am pretty easy going when it comes to teaching because it conveys patient, positive vibes. This continued to develop as I went to college, forming long-term teaching relationships with a small studio of friends who were eager to learn. I've playing in rock bands on drumset, pit orchestra on assorted percussion, marching bands in school and in community settings, and pretty much anything else you can name that has percussion in it. My teaching experience dates back to the 1980's where I have taught Music Classes involving singing of worship music in religious elementary schools as well as teaching music theory, and music history. I was also a preschool teacher and taught preschool music enrichment classes. After school hours I enjoy teaching in my own home music studio, but due to pandemic have now switched to online music lessons. Teaching the guitar or drums to my students is very rewarding for it allows me to share my passion for music, keep music alive where as sometimes music is not present enough in this world, and to see my students progress and shine as they smile when they achieve a new musical goal!
