I began playing drums in middle school as a hobby, but after playing in the marching band, concert band, and jazz band throughout High School I fell in love with drums and music and knew I wanted to pursue it as a career. Depending on the answer, I may start the student with tape on the fretboard, under the strings, outlining the chords for a guitar player.
