My main goal as an educator is to first and foremost teach to the personal goals of the student. Lessons are planned and taught around both fundamentals and technique, as well as material surrounding the students preferred musical styles, goals they want to reach, and music they are working on in groups outside of our private lessons. Music is such a personal and influential aspect of many peoples' lives. My experience started when I was 7 years old. At 12, I graduated from classical guitar school and started to perform concerts at various events in my hometown. At 15 I heard rock music and that became my passion to this day. Then I started playing in different rock and metal bands. I started composing my own music. In 2011 I founded a music school for rock guitarists. Not only do I teach the fundamentals but I cater to what each particular student wants out of a lesson. I've been very active as a working musician, playing small bars, large clubs, festivals, private and corporate events, wedding, and even VIP section shows at large venues with national acts. My teaching experience has had alot of learning experiences for myself as well. Every student is different. You tend to learn things about other students playing that in some ways helps your own. Ive always emphasized listening to as many styles of music as possible. The more youre comfortable with as a listener, the easier it usually is to learn. The idea is to have a vast musical vocabulary so as not to limit yourself when it comes time to look for work either as a performer, a teacher, or a session player. Read More

I am passionate instructor who is fueled by seeing success in others. No other feeling is more fulfilling then seeing the growth of another human. I have been teaching private lessons in my own studio for about 8 years now. I've taught 7 marching bands and currently writing music for some with an emphasis in percussion. Currently pursuing a degree in Music Business at Northern Illinois University.
