I have played in venues from small coffee houses to The Paramount in Huntington, NY.  I have played in many groups and ensembles as a premier performer and, of course, as part of the "tutti".  I have studied under Micheal Bellajonas at Suffolk County Community College and Jerry Willard at Stony Brook University in my classical guitar studies.  I maintain a violin/guitar duet with my wife, who is on her way to becoming a music educator.  I've taught all different types of students and am very open and patient to everyone's needs. Generally layed back low pressure lessons, but I will push a student if they let me. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Since a very early age, I have been obsessed with music. I began playing drums at age 9 and guitar at age 10. I played in Concert/orchestra and Jazz bands all throughout elementary, middle, high school, and college. I have also been apart of numerous bands of my own. I have played hundreds of professional, paid gigs on guitar, drums, and bass. I have toured the US, played locally in New England, and been apart of many recording projects. Read More

While in highschool, I started my teaching career by working in an after-school program teaching elementary and middle school students to help them hone their skills to perform in the school bands. Shortly after highschool, I started working as an instructor at the Pepperell Music Center teaching Drums and Guitar, as well as taking on private students at home. For beginning students, I begin by introducing proper technique and the most basic rudiments, start George Lawrence Stone's Stick Control, and introduce basic rock beats. When the student has the fundamentals mastered, we'll begin working on more advanced rudiments and work from Ted Reed's Syncopation. For more advanced students, we will cover odd time signatures, latin grooves, jazz concepts, improvisation, and ways to compose grooves and fills.
