My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 3 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 1 year. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business/Management (principal instruments: violin and voice). My career in the music industry has ranged from artist management, record labels, and recording studio management all while teaching violin and voice in my spare time. Many times students have videoed me playing pieces i teach so they have an example to watch/follow. I use Josephine Trott double stoo books 1 2. I use Yaakov Geringas's "Shifting~Thirty Studies For Young Violinists " .there are a couple scale books i use with my students. I have quite a collection of fiddle tunes, klezmeh tunes, Gypsy music and more i like to mix in with the classical music. I have all my students perform in my student concerts or at least in some of them each year. Read More

I, myself, is a very passionate performer. My enthusiasm in music making is what kept me going all these years. and I believe it is the very thing that would motivate and encourage a student to practice and learn. I’ve been teaching private lessons for about 6 years. Some of my favorite teaching experiences have been from my time in Tanzania, where I have been a music teacher every summer since 2016. I’ve taught students as young as 4 years old- I think it’s never to early to introduce the joys of music making to a child!
