This led me to start teaching private drum lessons, live/studio session drumming, and music production. When taking on beginner students, I typically use a blend of method books and novice musical pieces to begin to build musicianship. With intermediate musicians, I tend to seek out anything of interet to the student while incorporating harder repertoire to strengthen musicianship and to continue to peek interest in music. With adult musicians, I let them guide me to their area of interest, and I capitalize on that to guide them to better musicianship, no matter what their skill level may be. Read More

I love teaching and seeing students progress in their skill. No student is like the next and I do my best to create an atmosphere for each student to get the most out of their time with me. I also make sure the understand how they should be practicing and the effective ways to practice. It is not as simple as saying, "Practice double strokes this week". I am a passionate musician, educator, conductor, and composer, and I have been happily obsessed with music since I began piano lessons at age 10. I joined the school band program in 6th grade, and since then, I have learned how to play and teach many different instruments. My primary instrument is percussion, but I play piano, low brass, clarinet, bass guitar, and I also have perfect pitch.
