Above all else, music is supposed to be fun. I want my students to be excited about learning new things each week. Music is also a collaborative practice, so I think it is important for the student and the teacher to play together in a supportive environment to help reaffirm the week's lesson. I have held both licenses for over 5 years. I also have previous experience as the coordinator for an after school program through Chicago Public Schools, which I was employed by, and running the program as well.
