During my entire career, I have worked as a private teacher of Clarinet and Saxophone, with people from all ages, 10 to 60. In 2011, I also worked as a Clarinet and Saxophone teacher for Altamira School, a private school in Santiago, Chile. I have Classical, Jazz and Latin-American music experience; learning, performing, recording and teaching. I developed my career as a musician in Chile as a Saxophone and Clarinet player, performing with many different styles of bands and orchestras, so I have experience playing Jazz, Latin Jazz, Blues, Funk, Afro Beat, Salsa (Son, Rumba, Mambo, etc), Bossa Nova, Samba, Tango, etc.  I also Performed, Collaborated and Recorded with: La Pozze Latina, Irazú Big Band, Gitano, Carlos Cabezas, Tonino Carotone, Luis Jara, Leo Quinteros, Gonzales y los Asistentes and Benjamín Lechuga. My only teaching philosophy is simple-- all learning comes from the student, not the teacher. If the student isn't engaged and having fun, no amount of teaching will have an effect! I like to tailor specific exercises to my students that most fundamental books do not have, giving them a level of individual attention that encourages fast, specific improvement. I received a degree in Jazz Studies and Composition from Sonoma State University in 2006 and have been utilizing my degree as a creative artist and sharing my knowledge with students since 2002 where I grew up in the foothills sound of Yosemite National Park. I begain teaching as a band assistant in college. I would lead sectionals and work with students who where struggiling one on one. As I gained experiance my role and responsibly grew and I began to run rehearsals and plan for concerts. One aspect of lessons that I emphasise is musicality.
