I am a clarinetist and pedagogue based in Chicago. As a freelance performer, I have presented solo recitals throughout Illinois and can frequently be found woodwind doubling in musical theater pits around Chicago. Recently returned from Japan, I served as Co-Principal Clarinetist of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra since 2011. With 3 nationwide tours, I performed all over Japan, appearing regularly on the nationally televised program "Daimei no Nai Ongakukai" televised nationally. In 2010 I earned my Master of Music degree at the University of Southern California, studying with master teacher Yehuda Gilad. Once a student completes the Elementary Method, I will have them work on the Rubank Intermediate Method, which covers dynamic expression as well as major and minor scales. I will also assign solo repertoire at all levels, so students are always excited to play and motivated to practice. I've taught private lessons to students of all ages for the last 10+ years. Additionally, I have taught at the middle school and high school levels.
